Hello Families,
Great reheasal last week. We covered a lot of music and are working towards two performances and they are coming up quick! Can't believe the FOUR TOPS CONCERT IS THURSDAY!
We have an ADDITIONAL exciting opportunity coming up!
MCC has been invited to sing for one of the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra’s ACE concerts.  ACE stands for Arts in Community Education Program, a nationally acclaimed program which enhances students’ education through the integration of music and art into the school curriculum. This event requires the children to miss some school, but we highly encourage your child to participate.  Singing with the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra—on stage in Uihlein Hall at the Marcus Center—is an amazing opportunity and valuable experience!  Click Here to sign up for the ACE Concert with the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra and read more details!!!
Homework for this week:
*Practice the Four Tops Music!!!!  15 minutes total.  Practice with and without music!  Don't forget to practice with your body medium energy and face high energy!

Each summer, the Voices of Eterna participate in a mandatory choir camp that helps prepare the choir for the upcoming concert season.  Due to the recent decisions by the MPS School District to have some schools begin in mid-August, I have moved next season's choir camp date up to earlier in the month of August.  Voices of Eterna Choir Camp is scheduled for July 31 - August 4, 2017.  All members of the 2017-2018 Voices of Eterna are required to be at the choir camp.
Only members of Resident Choir who are currently completing their 2nd season in Resident Choir are eligible to audition for membership in Voices of Eterna.  The audition will consist of a vocal hearing, sight singing assessment, and interview with both student and parent(s).  All of these elements are required in order to be considered for acceptance into the 2017-2018 Voices of Eterna.  Auditions will take place in the month of May.  Please take the necessary steps to plan accordingly should your child be eligible for Voices of Eterna.
The camp is a day camp in Milwaukee and begins each morning at 8:30 AM and ends at 8:00 PM.  There is a fee associated with this camp which normally is between $100 - $200.  This covers all meals (except for breakfast), and activities throughout each day.

Thanks again everyone and see you next week!
